"Milk" at the Pharmtech & Ingredients 2021 exhibition

From 23 to 26 November, our company took part in the Pharmtech & Ingredients 2021 exhibition – the largest exhibition of equipment, raw materials, and technologies for pharmaceutical production in Russia and countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. Our company has traditionally presented its primary package for medical drugs.

How the exhibition took place, the head of the direction „Pharmaceutical package“ Eugeny Patopakhin will tell.

– How are your impressions of the exhibition?

Pharmtech is a key exhibition for our division. The exhibition attracted more visitors than the exhibition last year. Despite enacted restrictions, about 5000 persons visited the exhibition. It is a perfect place site for negotiations with current and potential customers. Although many companies have switched to online mode, for now, a personal meeting cannot be replaced by anything.

For example, in the course of negotiations with one of our customers, we managed to achieve a preliminary agreement about the change of the type of used paint. Currently, our company uses solvent paints – such kind of printing is less expensive but ultraviolet printing provides higher quality.

– What did you present this year?

We presented our new factory for the production of blister foil; it will be put into operation soon. For a long time, we thought about the second production site, as we understood that we would not be able soon to manage growing volumes: there is only 1 printing machine in the clean room at the factory. At our new factory, we already installed several MPS (Czech Republic).

– What is the distinctive feature of the new factory?

It is the higher output rate. For now, the maximum amount of foil with printing we can produce within a month is 45 tons; the new production site will make it possible to increase this rate tree-fold. All the packaging will be produced in clean rooms under standards GMP and ISO 15378.

– How do you evaluate the results of the exhibition?

We take part in Pharmtech & Ingredients every year. Although we are acquainted and collaborate with leading manufacturers in the pharmaceutical industry, we always find new promising contacts.
