The Packaging Factory MILK’s managers and employees have completed a certified educational course of the new ISO edition 9001:2015 held by Bureau Veritas. According to the Integrated Management System’s continuous improvement cycle principle, two dozen of the company’s key employees were perfecting their knowledge of the standard’s requirements for two days.

An important immersion theme was risk-based thinking – risk management is interlaced into the new ISO structure, coming to replace the preventive actions of the previous standard edition. The course of learning the quality management system principles comprised not only the tutor’s explanations, but also a group practice, and individual test assignments for controlling the level of acquired knowledge.

The pulse of the educational process was set by the company’s manager, who headed the team:

- When we came to this business, our competitors had been in the game for some time already, - motivated his employees for commitment to the seminar Valentin Maslennikov, the company’s General Director. – And, now we are among the leaders. Why? Even small clients have started to value quality. In the past, they used to say: give us a good price, and that’s all. So, our decision to operate according to the international standards has proven to serve us well. Still, if we compare our business processes with European ones, it will become obvious that we can do better and achieve more. To win this game, we must be edgy and strictly follow all the ISO’s requirements. And so, I am asking you to take this course seriously.

The tutor, Svetlana Michalkova, approved of this thoughtful approach to integrating QMS.

– I am fond of this group, - shared her opinion the lecturer. – I have been delivering trainings for more than ten years and I know from practice: this high level of discipline and commitment is possible only when a company’s top managers are deeply involved themselves, and inspire staff by their own examples. During this course, the director was fulfilling assignments himself – that’s why everybody did the same – sincerely and actively. And thus, I can respond and answer questions immediately. In addition, I feel compelled to point out the director’s words that quality is the company’s best priority. Integrating QMS is supported at all the levels, in all structural units. I also liked the way the group prepared for the course, I would even say advanced.

The staff education has passed successfully. In 2018, we plan to undergo a compliance audit for ISO 9001:2015 at Bureau Veritas.
